Woops... CrapDomainNames.com

I would never choose a crappy domain name... ok hang on a second..

These days it's almost impossible to get a short original domain name. To fix this problem a lot of companies are using a string of words to get their domain name.

I ran across this great blog post (original post by: Chief Slurler) regarding names that when read have a different meaning then what the companies had in mind. Here are some. If you would like to see all
100 messed up names then check out the link.

A quick summary of the Slurls "rules":
  • There’s a website AND
  • It’s an active website AND
  • There’s a double meaning AND
  • It’s not deliberate

1hourscrap.com - Rapid scrapbook making

achildshaven.com - Childcare / children's charity

actionpaintballsac.com - Californian paintball park

americanscrapmetal.com - Scrap metal

amigonefuneralhome.com - Funeral directors

So now that you know better check your domain name to make sure you do not have a built in blupper.
